Creator intelligence term

Source-profile record

A source-profile record is one indexed platform-profile record from a source system. The same person can have several source-profile records across platforms or accounts, so record count must not be presented as unique creator count.

Direct answer

One indexed profile record from one creator platform or source system.

Context 01

Records and people are different units

A creator may operate an Instagram profile, a YouTube channel and a TikTok account. Those can be three source-profile records associated with one person. A person may also operate several accounts on one platform.

Identity resolution links records when the evidence supports a connection. It should preserve uncertainty rather than force every profile into a person-level entity.

Context 02

Coverage claims should name the measured unit

Indexed records, resolved identities and product-searchable profiles answer different questions. A large source index describes acquisition scope, while product-searchable coverage describes what a user can actually query under current product rules.

MovesThem labels its global index as source-profile records and measures canonical and product-searchable coverage separately.

  • 01Record count does not equal unique people.
  • 02An indexed record may not meet current product-searchability requirements.
  • 03Identity links can change as new evidence appears.
